The wind harp is a stringed instrument that has existed since the first steps of humanity. Its operation is simple: the wind vibrates a string, which, with a certain tension and at a certain frequency, emits a sound.
Based on the wind harp system developed by master Didier Ferment based on Uli Wahl’s research on the African Goura (also called Gom-Gom), the Modular Aeolian System incorporates a sound box (as in a guitar) besides two Arduino computers, which through a servomotor on each harp, pinch the string shortening its vibration causing the instrument to change the note.
The fact of having two harps allows the presence of a controlled harmony, being able to generate chords of 3rd major, 3rd minor, perfect 4th or 2nd major for each range of harmonics, depending on the speed of the wind.
